Cisco® CCDA® Certification
The CCDA certification (Cisco Certified Design Associate) indicates a foundation or apprentice knowledge of network
design for the small office/home office (SOHO) market. CCDA certified professionals can design routed and switched networks involving LAN, WAN, and dial access services for businesses and organizations with networks
of fewer than 100 nodes. The CCDA certification validates an individual’s network design skills at the foundation level. The foundation you gain when preparing for CCDA®
(Cisco Certified Design Associate) certification is also the first step on an industry-recognized career track.
A CCDA certified individual can perform the following tasks:
- Determine a customer’s requirements for network performance, security, capacity, and scalability
- Design a network structure that meets these requirements
- Articulate the benefits of the design to a customer’s satisfaction
- Develop and test a prototype network that validates the design–and demonstrate that proof to a customer’s satisfaction
Positions for a CCDA certified individual include:
- Network design engineer
- Systems engineer
Benefits of CCDA Certification
